Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual event that takes place in the UK. This year’s theme is anxiety, and it runs from 15 to 21 May 2023. The Mental Health Foundation is the home of Mental Health Awareness Week and provides resources for the event.

There are many different things you can do to improve your mental health. Here are some tips.

• Staying positive: It’s important to try to have a positive outlook; some ways to do that include finding balance between positive and negative emotions.

• Staying active: Exercise can help improve depression or anxiety symptoms.

• Making social connection a priority: This includes connecting with others and volunteering in your local community.

• Eating a brain-healthy diet: This can support strong mental health.

• Getting good sleep: Sleep is important for both physical and mental health.

• Finding purpose and meaning in life: This can help you feel more fulfilled.
