Highlights from the Care Show 2025

10th October 2025

This week, we spent two days at The Care Show, and it reinforced something we've always known – there's a genuine, pressing need for what we do at Supported Living Gateway.

Over those two days, we met an incredibly diverse mix of care providers. Some were just starting their supported living businesses, others were well-established national organisations with years of experience under their belts. Yet despite their vastly different backgrounds and sizes, every single one came and spoke to us with the same challenge: finding suitable properties to grow their businesses.

It was also genuinely heartening to have some of our existing members make the effort to pop by our stand just to say hello. These moments of connection reminded us why we built this company in the first place – to bring together people who are passionate about creating quality homes for those who need them most.

Perhaps most rewarding were the conversations with care providers who'd never heard of us before. When they discovered what we offer – a dedicated portal connecting them with property investors specifically interested in supported living – their reactions were striking. Several literally told us we were the answer they'd been searching for. One provider even said they wished they'd found us years ago, as they'd been struggling to secure properties through traditional channels all that time.

What struck us most was hearing the same frustrations repeated throughout the event. Care providers told us about the countless hours spent:

  • Cold-calling estate agents who don't understand supported living
  • Searching general property portals with no way to identify landlords open to care tenants
  • Trying to convince traditional landlords unfamiliar with the sector

These conversations validated everything we've built at Supported Living Gateway. We exist to solve exactly these problems – creating a space where care providers and property investors can connect, where both sides understand the sector, and where finding the right property doesn't have to be an exhausting, time-consuming struggle.

For five years now, we've been the only nationwide platform in the UK dedicated solely to connecting care providers with property investors in the supported living sector.

Events like The Care Show remind us of the vital work being done by care providers across the country and the challenges they face in simply securing the homes they need to deliver their services.

If you're a care provider struggling to find properties, or a property investor wondering if there's demand in your area, we'd love to hear from you.

The answer you've been looking for might be simpler than you think.  Please get in touch…
